Call for Pitches by SEEN for Equity
As part of SEEN’s Knowledge Production Program, we are opening a call for proposals for knowledge-based content from writers, journalists, public affairs practitioners, and anyone with a serious idea they wish to tell.
What are we requesting?
We are not asking for the final piece, but rather a concise editorial proposal outlining:- What is the idea?
- Why does it matter?
- Why now?
- Why are you the most suitable person to produce it?
Submissions may take the form of a written report or multimedia content.
Proposals may address, but are not limited to, topics such as: social movements, abolitionist feminism, queer politics, migration and asylum, digital surveillance, environmental issues, oral history, and related fields.
We particularly encourage new voices, individuals who have not previously had publishing opportunities, and those with specific contextual access or grounded lived experience and in-depth research.
Despite limited resources, SEEN is committed to providing fair financial compensation for accepted contributions in line with its internal capacities and procedures. We also welcome voluntary submissions via info@seenforequity.org.
⏳ Deadline for submissions: 28 February 2026 Applicants whose proposals are accepted will be contacted within 15 days of the closing date. Non-selection does not reflect the quality of the idea, but rather our institutional capacity within each cycle.
